Premium domain search returns wrong pricing
When we search for a premium domain, the ExactMatchDomain field in response provides the correct price for display however the Products section for same domain contains PriceInfo with completely different prices.
There are 2 different types of premium domains, both use a premium flag when you do a search. One type of premium domain is the aftermarket domain that someone already owns, but they have decided to sell the domain at a higher price due to it’s desirability. The other type of premium domain applies to our GTLDs. The domains available for these extensions are priced at different tiers based on the domain name selected. The tiers are controlled by the registry and the domains are not currently owned by another individual. Each registry has different rules on the pricing of the tiers. Some have a high initial first year price and additional years are similar to those domains in the lowest tiers. However, some charge the high rate for all years. We at GoDaddy do not control that.
With that said, I’m not sure which type of premium domain you’re referencing. If you’re finding that there is a bug with the pricing you’ve set versus the domain that you’ve searched, please contact our customer care team, who will use the appropriate path to investigate the issue.
